Congratulations to University of Pennsylvania Senior Vice Provost and Penn Materials Science and Engineering Professor Dawn Bonnell on attaining the distinguished title of Professor Emerita.
Among her many accomplishments, Dr. Bonnell is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, one of the highest honors in her field; one of only seven recipients of the Staudinger-Durrer Medal from the ETH Zürich; and has served as president of the American Vacuum Society (AVS) Society and vice president of the The American Ceramic Society Society.
Her distinguished career has also been recognized with a National Science Foundation (NSF) Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award, the Robert B. Sosman Award and the Ross Coffin Purdy Award from the American Ceramic Society, and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Michigan.
