Following the century-old tradition, Penn students came together, holding bamboo canes and wearing custom red T-shirts and mock skimmer hats at High Rise Field and marched on Locust Walk to the Annenberg Center Plaza to meet Interim President J. Larry Jameson and Vice Provost for University Life Karu Kozuma.
Interim President Jameson provided a three-question exam to the students, resulting in the juniors promotion to senior status. Students sang along with the Penn Band as they played, “The Red and Blue,” and celebrated by signing each other’s hats, canes and shirts.
